Voters are ID'd

A March 20 letter echoed President Donald Trump's claim of massive voter fraud and decried being able to vote without being identified. Research has shown that, in fact, voter fraud is extremely rare, seemingly consistent with fact checking studies that reveal that Trump lies on the average of approximately six times per day.

Voters may not recognize that they have been identified but, in fact, they have. They must sign an application to vote, and that signature is compared with the signature on file by two election judges, one a Republican and the other a Democrat. By election law, nobody receives a ballot until that comparison is completed.
