Bethlehem Lutheran Church to host annual rummage sale April 12-14
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in West Dundee will hold its annual rummage sale from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the church, Fourth and Main street. The sale will continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 13, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
This rummage sale is more than just the run-of-the-mill rummage sale, it is a community event. This is one of the best rummage sales in the area. A lot of hard work is put into this sale so that everything will be laid out in an orderly fashion. The neighborhood not only shops at this rummage sale but they look forward to visiting with others who attend this event year after year.
Proceeds go to church projects and about a dozen commendable charitable organizations selected by the Women's Guild. Since this is one of the first and biggest rummage sales of the season, a large turnout is expected.
For this sale, there are three areas to shop. The first is the big room, the second is the upscale room and the third is the garage.
The big room has everything including toys, clothes, books, dishes, shoes, hats, handbags, and other things too numerous to mention.
The upscale room has paintings, antiques, collectibles, specialty items, jewelry. New this year will be a Jewelry Only Sale from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday.
In the garage, you will find lounge chairs, desks, beds, sleds, fishing gear, tools and house stuff.
On Saturday, there will be the customary bag sale.
Donations for the rummage sale are appreciated, but no outdated or large electronics or TVs please.
