K9 Pup Strut & Expo

K-9 Reading Buddies of the North Shore, in partnership with the Park District of Highland Park, celebrates 10 years of service with its K9 Pup Strut & Expo. Join together with Chicagoland families and dog lovers of all ages for a 1-mile walk (with or without a dog) and a FREE Expo featuring a variety of dog-themed exhibitors and activities including doggie massages, pet caricatures and portraits, dog tricks, demonstrations, and much more! Food, raffle drawings and prizes will also be part of the fun-filled day. Net proceeds from the walk will benefit K-9 Reading Buddies of the North Shore, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, for its literacy and community outreach programs.

Adult $30 (same day $35)

Students (15 or younger) $15 (same day $20)

Goodie bags, t-shirts and dog bandanas for registered walkers while supplies last

This event will take place rain or shine.

Dog Safety Rules & Recommendations:

• Use good judgment about your dog's health and temperament.

• Dogs under 4 months of age, vicious dogs or female dogs in any stage of heat will not be allowed to participate.

• All participating dogs must be current on vaccinations and wearing an I.D. tag.

• All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times. No retractable leashes, please.

• Handler must be 16 yrs. or older. Maximum two dogs per handler.

• Any misbehaving dog will be asked to leave.

• Please scoop up after your pet.
