Cosmetologists Chicago name 3 Presidents Scholarship winners underwritten by Amazon Professional Beauty

The nonprofit Cosmetologists Chicago, the largest association of salon professionals in the Midwest, announces three scholarships to local salon pros for advanced study.

Paul Dykstra, CEO of Cosmetologists Chicago, the largest association of licensed salon professionals (hair, skin, nails) comments, "There are over 85,000 licensed salon professionals in Illinois, together impacting millions of consumers weekly. Our goal at the Association has always been to make sure our members get the very best training and education possible, so that the consumers can be assured of the highest standards for services. The three winners of the Presidents Scholarship are:

• Kristen Grzegorcyk of Hoffman Estates for the Cosmetologists Chicago Scholarship for Hairdressing;

• Amanda Ortiz of Aurora for the Cosmetologists Chicago Scholarship for Hair Coloring;

• Kristin Ramirez of West Chicago for the International Nail Technicians Scholarship for Nail Care.

Kristin Ramirez, scholarship winner, says, "This Presidents Scholarship will help me go the next level of my career and get me out of my comfort zone. Education is not cheap, so I will do my best at obtaining knowledge from great mentors at the program. My goal is to be wise enough to teach and train others.
