Vernon Hills Pinewood Derby event
A Pinewood Derby race and event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, outside Macy's at Hawthorn Mall, routes 60 and 21 in Vernon Hills. Kids can race a pinewood derby car while watching the regional races for the Cub Scouts of Southern Lake County. Other activities include rain gutter boat racing, a STEM activity booth, and sports car viewing provided by Liberty Auto City.
