No-wake declared on Fox River, Chain

No-wake status has been declared on the entire Fox River and Chain O' Lakes from the Wisconsin border to the Algonquin Dam in Algonquin, the Fox Waterway Agency announced. No-wake status is usually the first sign of potential flooding, and means boats are not allowed to travel at speeds fast enough to have created a wake. The National Weather Service has predicted water levels have crested on most sections of the river and are starting to recede.
