Forest Preserve District invites seniors out for leisurely strolls

Seniors, come along on a leisurely guided walk through natural areas in the Kane County forest preserves!

Each month, naturalists with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County lead a hike as part of the "Senior Stroll" program series.

Along the walk, attendees learn about the natural and cultural history of the area. These programs last about an hour, with social time and refreshments following the walk. These nature programs are free. Registration is not required.

The next "Senior Stroll" moves to Les Arends Forest Preserve, 2S731 Lincoln Way (Route 31) in Batavia. This program will be 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 5.

The May "Senior Stroll" program will take place at Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls, 40W095 Freeman Road, about 2 miles east of Route 47 in Gilberts. This program will be 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 3.
