How to raise a reader

Hawthorn Elementary District 73 invites parents of future students currently under the age of 5 to attend a free presentation focused on how to raise a reader. The meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Hawthorn Elementary North, 301 Hawthorn Parkway in Vernon Hills. The presentation, in partnership with Cook Memorial Public Library District, will focus on five simple but important things parents and caregivers can do to help their children develop/acquire necessary early literacy and language skills.
