Northbrook Bank & Trust Donation Fuels Capital Improvements at YMCA

The North Suburban YMCA has received a "big check" for $20,000 as an installment of its annual payment from Wintrust/Northbrook Bank & Trust's towards the $100,000 donation the bank pledged in 2015 as part of the Y's ongoing capital campaign for improving safety, security, and accessibility at the NSYMCA.

Wintrust/Northbrook Bank & Trust has a long history as a Y supporter, playing a major role in past capital campaigns, the Y's Strong Kids Financial Assistance Fund, and other projects at the non-profit community organization. In 2013, the Y recognized the bank and Wintrust founder Edward J. Wehmer with the Thiel Award for Leadership and Social Responsibility.

"We are extremely grateful to Northbrook Bank & Trust for their consistent and generous support of the YMCA," notes Howard Schultz, NSYMCA President/CEO. "They have made it possible for us to modernize and transform our Y over the last decade, and their continued partnership will maintain our momentum as we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary serving the community beginning in June."
