$20,000 damage in Fox Lake fire

The Fox Lake Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building Saturday night.

Officials said the fire occurred at 6:32 p.m. Investigators believe the fire was caused when an exhaust fan in a unit's bathroom shorted.

The fire stayed within the unit, causing about $20,000 worth of damage, Lt.Curt Martin said.

The apartment was unoccupied at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
