Bartlett teen charged with burglary to vehicle

Bartlett police early Sunday charged an 18-year-old village resident with one count of burglary to a vehicle.

William C. Davies Duda, of the 100 block of West Railroad Avenue, was arrested on the felony charge shortly after officers responded at 1:30 a.m. Sunday to a report of a burglary on the 1000 block of Dartmouth Drive.

According to police, a witness accused Davies Duda of entering an unlocked 2015 Audi A3 parked in a neighbor's driveway. Officers took Davies Duda into custody at the scene.

After an investigation, police recovered personal items alleged to have been stolen from the unlocked vehicle on Dartmouth Drive and other unlocked vehicles on Pinetree Lane and Georgian Place.

Davies Duda was been transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing in court, police said.
