Key losses: Teresa Riles, Bridget Donnowitz.

Varsity gymnasts: Madison Morelli (so.), Dagmara Sobolak (so.), Kara Tyner (sr.), Hannah Greenspan (fr.), Emily Ruby (sr.), Hannah Lim (sr.), Melanie Goldfarb (sr.).

Outlook: The Bison will miss the contributions of Riles, who tied for third in the all-around at the MSL meet. Sobolak will look to build on an impressive freshman season. Morelli also is looking to make a mark; last season she was limited due to an ACL injury. Tyner also contributed to a team that finished seventh in the MSL.

Elk GroveCoach: Amy Rivera (third year).

Key losses: Hailey Bantog, Idania Bahena

Varsity gymnasts: Anna Sprenger (jr.), Jessica Hadler (jr.), Jill Valente (jr.), Leyla Barragan-Ruiz (jr.), Katie Talens (so.), Hannah Baumeister (so.) Stephanie Hultgren-Tagliere (fr.)

Outlook: Rivera is optimistic about the Grenadiers' growth. Talens and Baumeister are coming off a strong off-season and will be looking to make an impact. Sprenger will provide veteran leadership. Keep an eye on Barragan-Ruiz and Hultgren-Tagliere - both offer talent, and Valente and Hadler will look to contribute after being slowed by injuries last season.

HerseyCoach: Shannon Barrett (5 years)

Key losses: Maggie Barton, Allie Heidrich, Tori Schmidt.

Varsity gymnasts: Mackenzie Kamysz (sr.), Ashly Zurlo (so.), Annika Szyniec (fr.), Tori Nickens (fr.).

Oulook: The Huskies will miss Barton and Heidrich, who were both state qualifiers last season - but they welcome back Kamysz, who is one of the top returning gymnasts in the MSL. Kamysz was a state qualifier on beam last season and also tied for third in the all-around at the MSL meet; she will anchor a young Huskies attack this season. Zurlo contributed to a Huskies team that won the MSL East division title and placed third in the MSL.

ProspectCoach: Bridget Erickson (third year).

Varsity gymnasts: Jane Williams (sr.), Erica Schickerling (sr.), Stefania Sullo (sr.), Kaitlyn Granato (sr.), Rose Barros (sr.), Alexadra Zeppos (so.), Jillian Schmit (so.), Julia Fasick (so.), Lily Nicoll, Naiya Rooks (fr.), Olivia Tader (fr.).

Outook: Williams and Barros will provide veteran leadership and Schmit will be looking to build off a strong freshman season for the Knights. The Knights will lean on their depth and look for continuous improvement throughout the season.

Rolling MeadowsCoach: Michael Costas (14th year).

Key losses: Victoria Zervos

Varsity gymnasts: Nicole Kane (so.), Jenna Byrne (so.), Katie Reich (jr.), Morgan Niecikowski (sr.), Stavroula Zervos (fr.), Katie Mchugh (fr.).

Outlook: Kane had a breakout freshman season for the Mustangs last year. She advanced to state on the bars and will anchor the Mustangs' effort this season. Victoria Zervos will be hard to replace after winning the MSL all-around title and qualifying for state on the vault and floor. The Mustangs had an impressive run last season, finishing fourth in the MSL.

WheelingCoach: Nicole Maila (sixth year).

Varsity gymnasts: Jessica Stavros (jr.), Emily Lucas (jr.), Anna Emery (jr.), Nicole Massat (jr.), Emily Zajac (fr.).

Outlook: Stavros will anchor the Wildcats' squad this season, with Lucas and Emery offering support. Keep an eye on newcomers Masset and Zajac.

MID-SUBURBAN WESTBarringtonCoach: Jason Loeffler (21st year)

Key losses: Hayley Nilles

Varsity gymnasts: Lauren Tenbrunsel (so.), Alana Riemenschneider (so.), Sarah Ruesch (jr.), Ashley Diaz (so.), Natalie Franzese (jr.), Sydney Goodman (jr.), Brooke Husby (fr.), Jade Moranetz (fr.).

Outlook: Barrington will definitely be in the mix for the MSL title. Last year, the Fillies had a young lineup that continued to improve throughout the season. Expect even more improvement this season. Tenbrunsel (floor) and Diaz (bars) both were state qualifiers and will lead the way. Tenbrunsel was slowed by a finger injury last season but she is gearing up for a big season. Husby also seem ready to make an immediate impact with the Fillies.

ConantCoach: Anthony Avelia (third year).

Key losses: Mel Meyrick, Mariana Vazquez-Rosas, Bella Ostrowski.

Varsity gymnasts: Bailey Bloom (sr.), Sydney Tong (jr.), Kennedy O'Connor (so.), Julia Betts (so.), Julia Grzesik (so.), Danielle Smith (fr.).

Outlook: Conant lost Meyrick, a key member of the Cougars' drive to its team state qualification last season. But it still looks like the defending MSL champions return plenty and will be in contention for another conference crown this season. Bloom leads the charge - she ended last season with a fifth-place state medal on beam. The sophomore duo of O'Connor and Betts have also improved and will add to a talented team. Tong adds valuable experience and Smith and Grzesik will be looking to contribute for a team that is hoping to build off of last year's success.

FremdCoach: Kacey Kronforst (first year)

Key losses: Courtney Ng (injury).

Varsity gymnasts: Gianna Christodoulopoulos (jr.), Abby Moran (sr.), Melanie Ng (sr.), Sam Shirmer (so.), Katie Vessell (so.), Kate Watson (jr.), Ellyce Wong (sr.).

Outlook: Moran and Ng will anchor the Vikings' effort this season. Moran was a state qualifier on the beam and floor, while Ng qualified to state on bars. Shirmir was also big contributor for a Vikings attack that took second in the MSL last season. Kronforst takes over for Elise Ference-Saisi and will be looking to put her stamp on the program this season.

Hoffman EstatesCoach: David Calisch (2nd year).

Key losses: Darcy Majeske.

Varsity gymnasts: Olivia Biggs (so.), Charlee Campos (so.), Hunter Freye (so.), Karli Brudz (jr.), Karli Ryan (so.), Abby Fuscone (jr.), Jessica Holt (jr.).

Outlook: Fuscone and Campos return to lead the Hawks' attack. Keep an eye on Ryan, who has provided a nice jolt to the Hawks' lineup. Brudz, Holt, Freye and Biggs provide Hoffman Estates with plenty of depth.

PalatineCoach: Terry Theobald (35 years).

Key losses: Kara Ure.

Varsity gymnasts: Callee Aikman (sr.), Abby Amato (sr.), Christina DiGioia (sr.), Jess Streepy (jr.), Kristen Ure (jr.), Alyssa Eckels (fr.), Elly Nilsen (fr.), Sam Mogensen (fr.).

Outlook: Theobald welcomes back a talented group of seniors that will be in contention for the MSL title. Amato came on strong last season and qualified to state on bars, beam, floor, and all-around. She will be one of the top gymnasts in the MSL this season. Aikman and DiGioia also were major contributors for a Pirates team that advanced to the sectional meet. Streepy and Ure offer veteran support. Keep an eye on a talented freshman class led by Eckels which will be looking to make its mark.

SchaumburgCoach: Amber Mirski (first year)

Key losses: Alison Janega

Varsity gymnasts: Mikayla Vogt (sr.), Delaney Nash (fr.), Chalisa Kulprathipanja (jr.), Meglan O'Mera (fr.), Kelsey Horwath (sr.), Nikki Kolodziej (so.), Orianna O'Mera (sr.), Madisen Parla (so.), Haley Grelyak (sr.).

Outlook: The Saxons welcome back Vogt, who is the defending MSL beam champion. The senior was also a force on the floor and vault last year and will anchor the attack this season. Nash has shown plenty of potential and will bolster the Saxons this season.

CENTRAL SUBURBAN NORTHMaine WestCoach: Amanda Harrison (sixth year)

Varsity gymnasts: Emily Divelbiss (fr.), Lily Sanchez (so.), Megan Schore (jr.), Gabby Demma (jr.), Rayna Davis (jr.), Christa Niewinski (sr.), Rachel Matthews (sr.).

Outook: Demma, Davis, and and Sanchez return to lead the Warriors attack that seems to be more well balanced. Schore will join the Warriors after competing in club her first two years and the junior should provide her team with a spark.

WEST SUBURBAN GOLDLeydenCoach: Jennifer Thomas (sixth year).

Key losses: Justyna Luberda, Mickayla Radomski, Lalli Soli.

Varsity gymnasts: Esther Aldana (sr.), Liz Treto (sr.), Anna Stazik (sr.), Savannah Wood (sr.), Faustyna Karpieskiuk (so.), Alexis Weiner (so.), Jess Torres (fr.).

Outlook: Karpieskiuk is back to lead the Eagles. The sophomore was injured for a good part of her freshman season but still showed glimpses of her potential. Torres should provide a scoring jolt, and Aldana, Weiner and Treto return, giving the Eagles plenty of experience.
