Palatine District 15 spending plenty of money on attorneys
The District 15 school board claims on social media that they are bargaining in good faith to resolve the strike of support staff. One would think there is no money to spare to meet the contract demands of the ESPA union on behalf of staff who are already paid so little, yet perform vital work to keep school programs running.
It is curious, then, that the district has financial resources to pay untold amounts in attorney fees to battle the union in court.
Perhaps I am oversimplifying the matter. Or perhaps the gargantuan egos of the school board are overshadowing common sense, ultimately undermining the best interest of the children they were hired to serve.
