Author Ginger Kolbaba to Present Editing Workshop at ACFW Meeting

Fiction writers of all levels will have the opportunity to learn valuable self-editing techniques at the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW)-Chicago chapter meeting from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, in the Program Room of the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd. The free workshop will be led by award-winning author Ginger Kolbaba, who has written or contributed to more than 30 books and more than 400 magazine and online articles. Non-ACFW members are welcome to attend.

Kolbaba's interactive presentation, "Be Your Own Editor First," will focus on getting a manuscript ready for an editor's discerning eyes. "In this session, we'll discuss how writing and editing take two different mindsets, and how you can get your manuscript in tip-top shape before submitting it to an agent or publishing house," Kolbaba said. "We'll look at some tricks of the trade, from big picture editing to micromanagement editing."
