20th annual Rotary Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive begins

The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise announces the start of its 20th annual clothing drive to benefit those in need of warm winter clothing.

Rotary volunteers are placing boxes in the community to receive donations of coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All sizes, infant through XXXL adult, are accepted.

The annual coat drive kicked off Nov. 3 at the club's weekly breakfast meeting at the Naperville Country Club and runs through Friday, Dec. 4.

"The mission of Rotary is 'Service Above Self,' and we are proud to partner with Hesed House, DuPage PADS and Sharing Connections to deliver warm clothing to those in our area who are in need in the upcoming winter season," said Justin Klestinski, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise president. "The Naperville community has always been very generous, and we look forward to another successful Winter Clothing Drive."

As the need grows, the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise continues to attract new collection partners. This year, in collaboration with the Downtown Naperville Alliance, select downtown businesses will place collection boxes through downtown Naperville. By partnering with Sunrise Rotary, the Downtown Naperville Alliance makes it easy for residents to donate slightly used winter clothing while downtown shopping for the holidays. Additional locations include Casey's Fine Foods; Fair Oaks Ford which has participated every year; Naperville Bank & Trust; Northwestern Mutual Financial in Aurora; The School of Performing Arts; Wells Fargo Advisors; Naper Settlement; and Dutchman Heating. In addition, collection boxes will be at all Naperville Fire Stations.

As you prepare for the winter months, please consider donating warm clothing that you will no longer use to the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive. For further information, visit www.napervillesunrise.org.
