From 42nd Street to the Adler Center

Rick Lowe and Jenny Cook will perform Broadway classics and jazz standards by Chick Corea and George Gershwin at the David Adler Music and Arts Center on Friday, October 27 at 7 pm.

The duo regularly performs with the Songs by Heart Foundation, an organization that brings music to people with age-related memory issues. Cook and Lowe's program features a wide variety of classical, jazz, and vocal music.

"I'm most excited to perform classic musical theater selections including 'Till There Was You' and 'I Feel Pretty'," says Cook, who recently finished an apprenticeship with Michigan Opera Theatre. "I enjoy singing musical theatre pieces because I feel they are timeless and have the potential to reach a wide variety of audiences."

Both performers also teach individual music lessons at the David Adler Music and Arts Center.

"I love the opportunity to perform solo piano, jazz and vocal music in the same concert," says pianist, Rick Lowe. "Also, I am quite honored to share the concert stage with a first-class musician like Jenny Cook."
