Freedoms being abused

Thank you, Walter E. Williams for your wonderful article in the Oct. 4 Daily Herald; it was spot on. The big question is how do we change these numbers in the future. I don't think additional gun laws will do the trick, because it seems like the bad guys always had and will continue to have guns. We need to take back control of our kids, know who they're with and what they're doing and take whatever corrective measures necessary to get them on the right path and keep them alive and safe. On the subject of protesting, our flag and anthem are symbols to remind us of the many men and women of all colors that died so that we could have the freedom to protest. I think that we are now subjected to abuse of that freedom by celebrities and athletes when we attend pricey concerts and games.
