Megan Mitchell posted 9 kills and 2 blocks, and Grant's girls volleyball team outlasted Grayslake North 25-22, 23-25, 25-19 in Northern Lake County Conference action Thursday night.
Mallory Harrity added 6 kills and 3 blocks for the Bulldogs, and freshman middle blocker Anelise Johnson had 5 kills and 1 block.
Grayslake North (5-22, 2-3) was led by libero Erin McBriarty's 22 digs. The Knights' other contributors included Lindsey Deip (9 assists), Abby Cunningham (11 assists, 12 digs), Taylor Ebersohl (5 kills), Jessica Pozezinski (5 kills), Alyssa Gerzel (5 kills) and Sarah Rauch (5 kills).
Wauconda d. Round Lake: Erika Kraml had 5 kills, as the visiting Bulldogs won 25-10, 25-20 in Northern Lake County Conference action.
Jane Sakowicz tallied 7 digs, 2 aces and 2 kills for Wauconda (13-12, 4-1), while Summer Olsen added 9 digs. The Bulldogs got 3 kills apiece from Elise Deaver, Nicole Callahan and Savannah Johnson.
Warren d. Deerfield: Ella White delivered 6 aces and 5 kills, and the Blue Devils won 22-25, 24-14, 25-11 in a nonconference match.
Warren (19-7) also got contributions from Allison Maan de Kok (5 aces, 2 kills, 19 assists), Amanda Howe (3 aces, 2 digs), Dana Lundtveit (7 kills), Jessica Weinberg (7 kills), Emma Fitzgibbons (2 kills) and Katie Corr (2 kills).
Carmel d. Waukegan: Erin Taylor and Alyssa Dellert had 6 and 5 kills, respectively, as the host Corsairs kicked off homecoming weekend by winning 25-15, 25-18 in nonconference action.
Carmel (16-11) also got contributions from Tayah Farris (4 kills), Alyssa Donton (9 assists, 1 ace), Sydney Manshum (6 assists, 1 ace), Patti Needham (5 assists), Madi Meyer (11 digs, 1 ace) and Eileen Tarcha (11 digs, 2 aces).
