Artists invited to join Winterfest Art Market

Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St. in Batavia, will hold its second annual juried Winterfest Art Market for all holiday shoppers looking to support local artists. This market should be at the top of your list for your holiday shopping. Give one-of-a-kind gifts to friends, family, and don't forget yourself.

The art market features many local and regional artists and artisans displaying gift choices to fit every style, taste and budget - including handcrafted jewelry, stoneware, glassworks, functional and decorative wood objects, photographs, cards, imaginative craft items, and plenty of paintings, drawings, prints and other original artworks.

You also will have the opportunity to purchase pieces from Water Street Studios Resident Artists in their studios and shop local and regional artist booths in The Dock located at the back entrance of Water Street Studios.

The Winterfest Art Market will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Artwork in the Dempsey Family Gallery will remain on sale during regular gallery hours until Dec. 18. It will remain on display during regular gallery hours the following weekend: 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15; and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16-17.

Visit the Kane County Chronicle Gallery during our open hours to view the work completed by Water Street Studios' art students ranging in age and art mediums. This exhibition showcases art students' completed work created over the past year at Water Street Studios.
