Schaumburg to host meeting on disaster preparedness

With September recognized as National Preparedness Month, the village of Schaumburg is inviting the public to attend a Disaster Preparedness Meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court.

Sponsored by the village's Medical Reserve Corps, the presentation will review how to prepare for various emergencies, what supplies are needed at home and for your car, and what items you may need in the event of an evacuation of your home.
