Stocking up on soda - and drinking more

Since Cook County enacted this ridiculous tax I have been shopping in Dupage County to avoid the tax. While shopping at the Sam's Club in Addison, I got to talking with a group of people in the soda aisle. All were buying three and four cases of soda. Further conversation determined that since it was a longer drive everyone bought more.

Also since there was more available at home people were drinking more. Mr. Bloomberg can continue to underwrite the cost of the TV ads telling us what a great deal this tax is, but I believe he is only fooling himself.
