Crystal Lake man faces child pornography charges
Police on Thursday arrested a 53-year-old Crystal Lake man now facing felony child pornography charges, officials say.
Around 5 a.m., Crystal Lake police officers searched the home of John J. Dzierzynski, of the 1600 block of Yellowstone Circle, after police learned a resident at the address was in possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department on Thursday evening.
Dzierzynski is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, court records show.
The Crystal Lake Police Department was not immediately available to comment on further details.
Police learned about the suspected child pornography through the Illinois Attorney General's internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to the release.
Dzierzynski remained at the McHenry County jail Thursday on a $50,000 bond.
He is due back in court September 27.
