Lester Munson to speak on best and worst of Chicago's sports at Windsor Park

When it comes to Chicago sports teams, there have been championships and losing seasons, as well as the the occasional scandal. Lester Munson, ESPN sportswriter and legal analyst, will present "Chicago Sports: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!" on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Windsor Park, a retirement community located at 124 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream.

During the presentation, Munson will speak about cover-ups, court cases and the collision of talent, money, celebrity and scandal in today's professional sports.

For 27 years, Munson has reported on court decisions, falls from grace, government actions in the sports industry, violence, race and gender. Recent assignments include the antitrust litigation attacking the NCAA and seeking cash payments for student athletes; the effort by women's national team soccer players to obtain equal pay; the concussion crisis in the National Football League; Tom Brady and deflategate; domestic violence and child abuse scandals in the NFL involving Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy, and many more.

Munson is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Chicago Law School and is a lawyer licensed to practice in Illinois. He was on staff of Sports Illustrated from 1991 to 2004.
