Tee off to benefit NEDSRA programs

It's always a great day when you get to play golf. The day is even better when you put together challenging play and a great cause.

The Larry Roesch/NEDSRA Special Recreation Golf Classic, benefiting children and adults with disabilities in NEDSRA's special recreation programs, is coming Wednesday, Sept. 13, to White Pines Golf Club, 500 W. Jefferson St., Bensenville.

The annual charitable golf outing brings together golfers of all levels to share the outdoors, two course options, networking and fun, all while supporting the community.

Registration is now open. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon. All proceeds directly benefit children and adults with disabilities in NEDSRA's special recreation programs.

Celebrating 40 years of programming and special recreation services, NEDSRA, the Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association, based in Addison, serves 11 communities throughout DuPage County, including Addison, Bensenville, Butterfield, Glendale Heights, Itasca, Lombard, Medinah, Oakbrook Terrace, Schiller Park, Villa Park, and Wood Dale.

The golf classic begins at the bag drop and culminates with an early evening banquet and silent/live auctions. Golfers can choose the east or west course, both providing unique play. New contests and prizes include the New Car Challenge, courtesy of Larry Roesch Family Auto Group.

The cost is $180 per person or $720 for a foursome. The cost includes 18 holes, golf cart, commemorative golf balls and towel, raffles, contests and prizes, breakfast, lunch, dinner and complimentary beer/beverage cart. Various levels of sponsorship also are available, from hole sponsors to customized packages.

To register, golfers can visit www.nedsra.org to download a registration form. They may also contact Rick Poole, NEDSRA executive director, at rpoole@nedsra.org.
