Tasty 'Fill the Bowls' fundraiser returns Sunday, Aug. 27
"Fill the Bowls" returns for the fourth year to bring the area's most favorite dining spots together for one afternoon to benefit the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, "Fill the Bowls," also known as "Taste of Fox Valley," invites the community to sample soup and a variety of dishes from 20 popular and local restaurants.
"Fills the Bowls" welcomes the whole family to sample the best in local cuisine, and enjoy a family-friendly afternoon while raising money for the food pantry. One ticket raises over $240 in food donations.
"We're excited to host this fun and tasty event for the community as a way to stock our shelves. We're bringing back the morning mimosas, a wine pull, and silent auctions. It's sure to be a great, community lunch in Aurora," said Diane Renner, pantry director.
"Fill the Bowls" from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gaslite Manor Banquets, 2485 Church Road in Aurora.
Marie's Annual Spirit Awards celebration will be held during the event from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Dan D. Dolan Sr. is the award recipient.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children. Children under age 5 are free.
