Schaumburg Children's Chorus Announces Auditions

The Schaumburg Children's Chorus, Erin Kozakis, Director, announces auditions for the 2017-18 season.

Auditions are for new and prior members and are open to students in Grade 3 and up.

Audition Dates

August 20, 2017 2:00-8:00pm all grades

August 21, 2017 4:30 - 8:00pm GRADES 3-6 ONLY

August 27, 2017 2:00-8:00pm all grades

The location of the audition is the Prairie Center for the Arts, located at 201 Schaumburg, Ct., Schaumburg, IL.

Students should be prepared to sing a short song of their choice (an accompanist will be provided if they would like to bring in music, or may sing a cappella).

If they do not know a song to sing, they will be taught "My County 'tis of Thee" at the audition. We will sing "Frere Jacques" (Are You Sleeping) in canon (if students do not know this, it will be taught at the audition).

Students will have a mini voice lesson to explore your vocal range and tone.

There is a participation fee of $150 for the 2017/2018 Season plus a $25 family donation to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation.

Rehearsal materials and folders are included in the fee.

Rehearsals will be held Sundays, 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm (*note-there are several times during the year when we rehearse on Monday evening)
