Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation to hold open house Wednesday

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation will host an open house from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Panera, 154 W. Wilson St., in downtown Batavia.

Current members will be available to answer any questions and provide information. Club activities include community fundraisers which raised more than $23,000 for local charities this year; recreational activities for moms, couples, and families; and play groups for moms and kids among other things.

Members meet at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month, September to May, at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

The first meeting of the 2017-2018 year will be Sept. 6.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded in 1934, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children in the Fox Valley area. Each year, the club donates $20,000-$50,000 to local charities, including the CHIP IN Batavia and CASA Kane County, whose activities support this mission. The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is open to all mothers in the area who are interested in local philanthropic, service, and community activities.
