Lisle, Carol Stream cancel Thursday night band concerts

Concerts scheduled for tonight have been canceled in Lisle and Carol Stream due to the threat of severe weather, officials said.

The Lisle show featuring the band 1975 has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, as part of the village's PrairieWalk Pond Concert Series at PrairieWalk Pond, Route 53 and Garfield Avenue.

The free concert series also features shows scheduled for Aug. 10, 17 and 24.

In Carol Stream, officials are working with the Motown and R&B band R-Gang to reschedule a two-hour performance. The band was due to take the gazebo stage in the Ross Ferraro Town Center for the village's summer concert series.
