Injury sidelines Bills safety Anderson day before camp opens

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Bills safety Colt Anderson has been placed on the active/physically unable to perform list because of a foot injury a day before the team opens training camp.

The Bills didn't reveal the severity of the injury or when Anderson was hurt in making the announcement on Wednesday, when players reported to the team's training camp facility in suburban Rochester, New York. Anderson can be activated off the list at any time he's cleared for practice.

Anderson missed the start of last season and then appeared in only two games before being placed on the season-ending injured-reserve list because of an arm injury. The seventh-year player is noted mostly for his special teams contributions, and entering his second season in Buffalo.
