David Adler Music and Arts Center Prepares for 37th Annual Festival of the Arts in Libertyville

The David Adler Music and Art Center presents the 37th Annual Festival of the Arts in Cook Park, Libertyville the weekend of August 5 and 6.

Located in historic downtown Libertyville, the Festival of the Arts hosts over 65 booths of fine and decorative art by local, regional, and nationally acclaimed artists and artisans. Last year, over 8,000 people from the Tri-State area attended Libertyville's oldest and largest juried fine arts festival.

"This year, we're excited to bring two days of musical entertainment to the Festival of the Arts," says Heather Williamson, Adler Center Program Director. "We'll also have great activities for kids in our art activity tent." A concurrent youth art fair highlights the work of artists 18 and under.

Purchase original fine art and enjoy live music by Girl Named Nino, the Highland Park Pops Big Band, McNulty Irish Dancers, Leanne Arraya, and Sneezy.

"Our [Festival] is quaint, easy to get around, and lots of the artists are local," says Adler Center Arts Coordinator, Tanya Leintz. "It's fun, the art is more affordable. It's an easygoing, happy festival."

Visit the Festival of the Arts from 10am - 5pm on August 5 & 6. Admission is free, and street and garage parking is available. For more details, including an entertainment schedule and map, visit www.adlercenter.org/festival
