Budget talk in Island Lake

Island Lake's finance committee will meet Tuesday, July 18, to again discuss a proposed $8.2 million budget for the 2018 fiscal year. The fiscal year began May 1, so village leaders have been running the town without a spending plan. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave. If the committee settles on a budget, it will require approval by the village board at a future meeting.
