Water Street Studios to present 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)'
Water Street Studios' Live Art Series presents "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield.
It will be performed at 6 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the Dempsey Family Gallery at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St. in Batavia.
The Live Art Series is a monthly live art performance exploring a variety of art forms including music, film, dance, storytelling, and more! It is made possible by a grant from the Batavia Arts Council.
The cast includes Julie Bayer, Heidi Swarthout and Lori Holm, and it will be directed by Jesse T Hicks III.
An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" was London's longest-running comedy having clocked a very palpable nine years in London's West End at the Criterion Theatre! Join these madcap women in tights as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare's comedies, histories and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.
It is a $5 suggested donation. There will be a cash bar with beer provided by Solemn Oath Brewery and wine provided by Bright Angel Wines.
It is being presented in conjunction with the "Chicago Artists Interpret Shakespeare" and "Subject" exhibition running through Aug. 5.
A special thanks to the Event Sponsor: K. Hollis Jewelers.
