Schaumburg A.M. Rotary adds new member

Rich Hetzer was inducted as the Schaumburg A.M. Rotary Club's newest member by 2016/2017 president Tim Gerhardt during the June 21st meeting.

Hetzer is a retired Schaumburg resident, who at one time was a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago, also known as Rotary One. During his professional career, he held a variety of positions in business and finance, in addition to serving as an elected official in local government and being a civic minded volunteer on behalf of many organizations.

Hetzer has written and published numerous papers on finance, government and management and is currently serving as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for the Citizens Utility Board (CUB). CUB is a non-profit, non-partisan organization who works on behalf of Illinois residential consumers to fight utility rate increases, improve service, promote clean energy and advocate for consumer protections.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary meets from 7-8:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, at Schaumburg's Egg Harbor Café at 1310 American Lane. Rotarians participate in community service projects both at home and abroad and work to make a positive difference in the lives of others, in addition to promoting good will, peace and understanding.
