Picture perfect day for Promenade of Art in Arlington Heights

More than 110 juried artists showcased their original work at the annual Promenade of Art Saturday in downtown Arlington Heights,

It was a perfect summer day for attendees as they mingled among exhibits of paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture. Live art demonstrations added to the festival experience, and a number of local restaurant offered food and drink specials for people attending the event.

The American Cancer Society was the recipient of the Green Ribbon Project. Participating artists put a green ribbon on a piece of their choice in their booth, and if the piece is sold, the artist agrees to give 10 percent of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.
