Petite Lake Road to close near Lake Villa

Petite Lake Road will be closed for two months at the Route 59 intersection in unincorporated Lake County near Lake Villa beginning Thursday, June 15, weather permitting.

The closure is part of a larger project to rebuild the intersection and resurface and install traffic signals on Route 59 between Route 132 and Highwoods Drive.

A posted detour will direct westbound Petite Lake Road traffic south on Fairfield Road and west on Grand Avenue and north on Route 59. The entire project is expected to be completed this fall. Updates on the impacts to traffic are available at www.travelmidwest.com.
