Adoption event It's All About the Paws returns this weekend

It's All About the Paws is returning for its third year. Close to $5,000 has been raised and more than 40 dogs have been adopted through the last two years of this event. Last year, more than 800 people attended.

The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11 in Lincoln Park, during Festival of the Fox in St. Charles. All proceeds from the event will go to the animal rescues attending. This money will be used to keep strays off the streets and any medical attention the animals need. It also will be used for supplies such as; food, bowls, towels, toys, beds, etc. The goal is to exceed last year's donations of $1,500 distributed to the rescues. They want to start early in raising money for all the rescues who attend.

An estimated four million dogs and cats are euthanized every year. These animals never get a chance to make it to their forever homes. Once again, this year they want to help families find a pet and support the local animal rescues who take in these needy souls. Without animal rescues, these animals are looking at rough and possibly short lives. With your donation, you can help put an end to their suffering.

It's All About The Paws is getting many of the local rescues involved to help as many animals as possible. Rescues that are in the works are: Players for Pits, H.E.L.P., Midwest Lab Rescue, and more.

This event also will be having fun activities such as; raffles, T-Shirt sales, K-9 demonstration, high-quality food vendors, dog trainers, etc. There will be many opportunities for the community to volunteer and for companies to get involved with raffles, samples, donations, sponsorships, etc.
