DuPage, Kane museums offer summer adventures
Free guides to 70 museums in Kane and DuPage counties are available at the Aurora Historical Society, as well as the Aurora Regional Fire Museum and SciTech Hands On Museum in Aurora.
Published by the Kane-DuPage Regional Museum Association, the guides are intended for ages 4 to 12.
Children have their passports stamped at each location they visit and can enter a drawing for a $25 gift card if they collect at least six stamps. The program ends Thursday, Aug. 31.
The booklets are available during tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Sundays at Tanner House Museum, 304 Oak Ave., Aurora. The Pierce Art and History Center is open noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 6 to 9 p.m. the first Friday of the month at 20 E. Downer Place. Entrance to both locations is free.
The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is at 53 N. Broadway in downtown Aurora, and SciTech is at 18 W. Benton St.
