Roselle Welcomes Roselare Brewery & Tap Room

The Roselle Village Board approved ordinances at its May 22, 2017, meeting paving the way for Pollyanna Brewing Company to open its newest brewery and tap room in Roselle's Town Center on Main St. Plans call for Pollyanna Brewing Company to renovate the building at 245 E. Main St. to accommodate a brewing room, an 84-seat tap room, a 3,000 square foot German-style beer garden, and a small retail area.

Pollyanna will open its newest location as Roselare, a name that according to its founders is derived from two inspirational locations; the historic West Flanders city of Roeselare, Belgium and Roselle, IL. Pollyanna Brewing Co. was established in 2014 in Lemont, IL, where it also operates a taproom and "fermentarium".

According to Roselle Economic Development Coordinator Natalie Engel, Roselare will be a destination business that will bring in patrons from the entire Chicagoland area. In addition to offering live acoustical music some evenings, Roselare plans to host several special events each year. Roselare is expected to open in Roselle late this fall.

Pollyanna Brewing Company is a craft brewery that specializes in mixed culture fermentations and wood aging experiments, and is importing two new oak foudres for the Roselle location. The tap room at Roselare will operate on a bring-your-own-food model, including delivery from local restaurants and food trucks.
