Vernon Hills recycling event May 20
The Vernon Hills Park District, in cooperation with other groups, will host Recycle-O-Rama from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 20, at the Sears parking lot at Hawthorn Mall, routes 60 and 21 in Vernon Hills.
Items accepted for recycling will include CRT monitors, laptops, CD/DVD players, cellphones, televisions, printers, computer towers and small appliances. Paper shredding also will be available, with a limit of two boxes per vehicle.
Latex paint will be accepted at $3 per gallon, cash or credit. Chemical waste will not be accepted.
