David Adler Music and Arts Center Hosts Benefit Featuring Speakeasy, Big Band, Art Auction

The David Adler Music & Arts Center will host its Annual 'Speakeasy' Benefit on Saturday, May 20, from 6-10 p.m., at the historic home of re¬nowned architect, David Adler. The event features the best of Libertyville's artistic, musical, and fine dining offerings and supports the work of the Adler Center, the Village of Libertyville's historic home for the arts.

Adler Member Artist, Tanya Leintz will be creating a live event painting throughout the evening. The finished painting will become part of the evening's live auction. "People can stop by every few minutes to see how the painting progresses and to see the process," says Leintz.

Other live auction items include an 'Evening at the Adler Center,' which includes live music and a private dinner party for ten from Café Pomigliano, and an eight-person masterclass in Mixology at NorthShore Distillery. "Our live auction features the Adler Center, and many more of Libertyville's hidden gems," says Amy Williams, Adler Center Executive Director.

An additional silent art auction will feature original paintings, photography, and ceramics donated by Adler Member Artists. Over 50 original works of fine art will be auctioned to support the mission of the Adler Center.

For over 35 years, the David Adler Music and Arts has offered music and art classes, scholarships, free art exhibits, and has hosted community-wide events like Fine Arts Month and the Annual Festival of the Arts held every August in Cook Park.
