Glendale Heights police seek information on home invasion, stun-gun attack
Four teenage girls on Tuesday broke into a Glendale Heights apartment and attacked a young resident and his friends with a stun gun, police say.
Officers received a report of a home invasion at 4:27 p.m. in the 1000 block of Spruce Street, according to a news release from the Glendale Heights Police Department.
The four high-school-aged girls forced their way into the apartment and used a stun gun to attack about eight people, also in their teens, Glendale Heights Police Sgt. Michael Pentecost said. The girls took off in a black Nissan sedan.
The boy's parents were not home at the time, and it is unclear if the two groups of teenagers knew each other, Pentecost said.
There is no risk to the community, he added.
Glendale Heights police have asked anyone with information about the attack to call (630) 260-0078.
