Park Ridge Attorney Reappointed to Board of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc.

Park Ridge resident Aurora A. Austriaco of Valentine Austriaco and Bueschel, P.C. in Chicago, was reappointed to the board of directors of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc., for a three-year term beginning January 2017.

"Aurora's experience in real estate litigation for clients ranging from multinational corporations to start-up companies and individuals, as well as her deep commitment to professional and community service is a great asset to the ATG board and member agents," said ATG President and CEO Peter Birnbaum. "We have been honored to have her serve on our board since 2006, and look forward to her continued leadership."

On the ATG board, Austriaco lends her expertise to the claims and member services committees, and also serves on the board of directors of ATG subsidiary, ATG LegalServe. She is a member of the American, Illinois State, Chicago, Asian American, and Filipino American Bar Associations, and served as immediate past president of the Chicago Bar Association. For several years, Leading Lawyers named her one of the top 10 women consumer law attorneys in Chicago. From 2015- 2017, she was also named as one of the top ten women real estate related lawyers and a Super Lawyer from 2014-17.

Austriaco currently serves as Commissioner for the Illinois Courts Commission and served as chair of the Cook County State's Attorney Asian Advisory Council for 12 years. She also served nine years on the Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission, and 11 years on the Cook County Human Rights Commission. Since 2012, she has been a board member of Presence Health Systems, St. Joseph's Hospital.

Austriaco also is a member of IRELA, the Economic Club of Chicago, Asian Giving Circle, Chicago Bar Foundation Lincoln Circle Fellowship, American Bar Foundations Fellows, and Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow.

She graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a B.S. and J.D. She received a certificate in finance for executives from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2016. She is fluent in Tagalog.
