Northwest Suburban Bar Association Annual Spring Dinner Meeting
The NWSBA annual Spring Dinner meeting took place on April 12, 2017 at Ditka's Arlington Heights.
Justice Thomas L. Kilbride, Illinois Supreme Court Justice, Third District, spoke on the Illinois Adoption of the Proactive Management-Based System Regulation.
Zephrin Allen, Implementation Manager, Odyssey eFile Illinois talked about the e-File IL overview for attorney & legal professionals.
"It was a great honor having Justice Kilbride as one of our speakers not only because of his position as a member of our Supreme Court but he shed light on the new requirements for 6 hours of PMCLE (requiring one hour of mental health and substance abuse and one hour of diversity education). With the rise in the availability as well as the different drugs on the market and the recent climate in the country it is important that the legal community stay abreast of these issues," said Anisa Jordan, Chairperson, NWSBA Dinner Meeting Committee.
"Mr Allen gave a very informative talk regarding the requirements and processes for the new e-fling requirement coming to cook county. The presentation took us step by step what we will need to do to prepare and introduced us to a variety of terminology that will be new to many of us," concluded Jordan.
This event was sponsored by ATG, FindLaw & IICLE.
