Subject: 5Th Annual Schaumburg Senior Follies Proves That Age Is Just A Number
Toe-tapping fun, lip-synching and even some musical saw playing are among the varied entertainment in store for audiences at Schaumburg's 5th annual Senior Follies. The performance, featuring performances by area senior citizens ages 62 and up, will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 23 at the Schaumburg Prairie Center.
Over a dozen acts will perform at the program. Singers include Ron Cameron of Schaumburg, Robert Garvey of Lake Villa, Don Landise of Elk Grove Village, Adeline Lint of Schaumburg, Rod Marino of Elk Grove Village, Bill Moretti of Streamwood, Alfred Papiewski of Elgin, and Margaret Perotti of Schaumburg. The dance team of Toni Higgins-Thrash and Dorene Wackerfuss of Palatine perform Charleston and tap numbers while Joan Mundstock of Schaumburg busts a move delivering hip-hop and acrobatic dance. Bea Golub of Schaumburg returns for yet another lip-sync performance to a classic tune, while newcomer Mark Davis of Hoffman Estates sings and plays the musical saw, which he learned "where else, on YouTube." And audiences can expect a few guffaws with stand-up comedian Dan Lambatos of Schaumburg.
Village President Al Larson returns to emcee the event and chat with the artists after they perform.
