New lineup for Rosemont's 'Rockin' in the Park'

MB Financial Park at Rosemont, 5501 Park Place, Rosemont, will celebrate the summer season with the return of the "Rockin' in the Park."

The free weekly summer concert series begins Sunday, May 28. Concerts are Thursdays, June 1 through Aug. 31, and feature the music of classic cover bands, food and beverage tents on the park's great lawn and a musical fireworks display after every show.

All concerts are 7-10 p.m. Outside food and coolers are prohibited. Parking is available at the MB Financial Park parking garage and is free with validation from any of the park's venues.

MB Financial Park will host a special added "Rockin' in the Park" concert Tuesday, July 4.

The 2017 lineup includes:

• Sunday, May 28: Elton Rohn/West Side Winders. Recreates the feeling of a 1970s Elton John concert.

• Thursday, June 1: Blooze Brothers. This 11-piece show band covers music from the '40s to today, paying homage to the original Blues Brothers, and includes Motown, soul, R&B, classic rock and swing hits in their performances.

• Thursday, June 8: M&R Rush. Known for their vocal harmonies and unique takes on classic covers.

• Thursday, June 15: Wedding Banned. Performs more than 100 concerts each year, with rock and dance music from the '80s, '90s and beyond.

• Thursday, June 22: Libido Funk Circus. Originally formed as an over-the-top tribute to the disco music of the '70s, Libido Funk Circus has been entertaining a wide range of audiences since 1996.

• Thursday, June 29: The Four C Notes. Pioneered and headlined by John Michael Coppola of Chicago's long-running production of "Jersey Boys," the band recreates the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

• Tuesday, July 4: Heartache Tonight. Eagles tribute band brings together music from all eras.

• Thursday, July 6: Kashmir. Re-creates the experience of a 1970s Zeppelin show utilizing authentic stage gear, costumes and special effects.

• Thursday, July 13: Generation. Performing hits from the 1964 British Invasion to American '60s artists.

• Thursday, July 20: The Rush Tribute Project. Pays homage to Rush.

• Thursday, July 27: Atomic Punks. Honors the glory days of Van Halen, fronted by David Lee Roth.

• Thursday, Aug. 3: 52nd Street. A full concert experience featuring the top hits of Billy Joel.

• Thursday, Aug. 10: American English. Beatles tribute show was voted "number one" by thousands of Beatles fans.

• Thursday, Aug. 17: Slippery When Wet. Live arrangements from Bon Jovi's 2000 "Crush" tour, 2002 "Bounce" tour, 2005 "Have a Nice Day" tour, 2008 "Lost Highway" tour and 2010 "The Circle" tour.

• Thursday, Aug. 24: Think Floyd. Music of Pink Floyd, covering music from "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" through "The Division Bell."

• Thursday, Aug. 31: Hi Infidelity. A variety of rock hits, from the '80s rock classics of Journey, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi and Boston to today's hits from Daughtry, Nickelback, Buckcherry and Train.
