Grayslake North goes 2-1: Grayslake North went 2-1 at the Antioch quad, with wins over Westminster Christian, 25-10, 25-17 and the Geneva junior varsity 23-25, 25-16, 15-10 and a loss to Antioch.
Over the three matches, Brandon Lebaron had 12 kills and 22 digs.
Austin Martineau had 15 kills and 16 digs. Al Harigan had 12 kills, 9 digs and 7 blocks. Jamal Thomas had 6 kills and 5 blocks. Cole Pelegrino had 10 kills and 10 digs and Bryan Melgoza had 28 digs.
Setter Nick Anello had 51 assists and 9 digs.
Warren Invite: At the Warren Invite, both Warren and Stevenson went 2-0 in pool play.
Warren defeated Wheaton North, 25-14, 25-21 and Grant, 25-9, 25-15.
Stevenson defeated Reavis, 25-16, 25-16 and Niles West, 25-20, 25-21.
Grant Maleski led Stevenson with 12 kills against Niles West while Will Sorenson and Haddon Kay had 10 assists apiece.
Against Reavis, Matt Cliffer had 7 kills and Austin Zhou had 6 digs for Stevenson.
Sorenson had 10 assists and Kay had 8 assists.
Mundelein went 1-1 with a 25-15, 25-16 win over Whitney Young and a 22-25, 17-25 loss to Maine South.
Over the two matches for Mundelein, Linden Ewing had 23 kills while setter Steven Miritello had 35 assists.
