Softball: Freshman Kram leads Grayslake North in Florida
Freshman Scout Kram picked up her first varsity win Friday as the Grayslake North softball team finished its Disney trip to Florida with an 8-5 win over Bloomer (Wis.).
The Knights finished the trip 3-2.
Kram had 3 strikeouts over 7 innings.
Eight of 9 starters had hits for the Knights (5-2). Senior Katie Moats finished 2-4 with 2 RBI. Moats, Kylie Conrad, and Jenna Pozezinski all had multiple hits on the day.
Softball
Grayslake North 10, Wausau West (Wis.) 9: On Thursday, Grayslake North scored 2 runs in the seventh inning to get the narrow victory.
Pitcher Jenna Pozezinski got her first win of the year. She had 2 strikeouts over 6⅔ innings. Sophomore Emily Mack recorded her first career save with a strikeout to end the game. Pozezinski also drove in 3 runs. Pozezinski, Katie Moats, Kylie Conrad, Alyssa Carr, and Ashton Moore all had multiple hits.
Grayslake Central 6, Bloomer (Wis.) 4: On Friday in Orlando, Fla., pitcher Reagen Radke led Grayslake Central to the win. She is 3-2 on the season.
