Consumers Credit Union Announces Board Election Results

Waukegan, IL, March 29, 2017: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $1.07 Billion, Waukegan, IL) recently held its 87th Annual Meeting at Key Lime Cove Resort in Gurnee. Nearly 300 Members and guests attended the event, where they received a comprehensive update on the Member-owned credit union's performance from the 2016 year, copies of the 2016 Annual Report and CEO Sean M. Rathjen's vision of where Consumers Credit Union is headed in 2017 and beyond.

One of the evening's key activities was the election of four (4) candidates to three-year terms on the credit union's Board of Directors. The newly-elected Directors are Denise Charts, Incumbent, of Libertyville; Scott Drabicki of Vernon Hills; John Janezic, Incumbent, of Green Oaks; and Spiridoula Mavrothalasitis of Chicago. One of the key differences between credit unions and banks is that credit union Board members are all unpaid volunteers.

CCU's Executive Committee for the coming year was selected on Thursday, March 23, the first regular monthly Board Meeting following the Annual Meeting. The Member-owned credit union's Executive Committee now consists of Ann Campanella, Vice-Chair; Alice Clements, Treasurer; John R. Janezic, Chairman; Joseph M. Rajcevich, Chair of the Supervisory Committee; and Denise Charts, Secretary.
