West Chicago High School holds fundraiser at the West Chicago McDonald's for Club Green

WCHS of School District 94 held their annual McTeacher's Night at the West Chicago McDonald's on North Ave. on Tuesday, March 14. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.

On Tuesday (Pi Day), the restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for WCHS Club Green. The students and families were excited to see their teachers behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.

An amazing twelve teachers worked from the school. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, and clearing tables which were executed with great enthusiasm and huge smiles on all the faces. Also, in honor of Pie Day (3.14 Pi Day) the teachers were selling fresh baked McDonald's apple pies to also raise money for Club Green.

A special thank you goes to teachers Brianne Ferreiro and Suzanne Burchacki, who organized the entire event as well as everyone that worked and attended this exciting event.

The school plans to use the money raised to go into the Club Green fund to support the school.
