'Totally Rad Bunco' a big hit with Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation

On Saturday, Feb. 25, the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation hosted a themed-bunco event, "I Love the '80s - Totally Rad '80s Bunco."

Attendees enjoyed traveling back to the 1980s listening to tunes from Bon Jovi and Cyndi Lauper to El Debarge and Stevie Wonder as well as noshing on refreshments from Enticing Cuisine and the Party Kitchen or flashback snacks like candy cigarettes.

Raffles and minigames accompanied the main event, bunco, as well. Both volunteers and attendees alike donned neon leg warmers, acid-washed jeans or Flashdance-inspired gear and were met with many laughs.

The foundation would like to thank all of our donors, participants, and sponsors, especially Apollo Investment and WOW 1 Day Painting, without whom these events could not take place.

The money raised from this event, as well as all of the club's events, are disbursed in May to local charities and educational organizations serving women, children, and families.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation accepts applications for disbursements that fulfill the mission until March 15 of each current year.

Club members had a wonderful time at this year's bunco, and they hope that you will join them next year.
